im curious. what made you rly fall in love with wriosige?
there's a lot of potential there, and a lot of appealing aspects - major height and size difference, human/immortal, wolf/bunny, pastel lolita/punk goth.... oh even their fighting styles contrast! wriothesley is a boxer, so he's close range while sige uses a bow and gun, making her long range. there's also their other contrast of the desire to trust vs the desire to be trusted
but i think what made me actually cement it as an otp was the office scene in the archon quest where sigewinne tranquilizes lyney. wriothesley barely moved when lyney lunged at him, not even to just stop him, like he /trusted/ sigewinne to 1) get there on time to stop any violence from happening and 2) be a very precise shot (this indicates to me that he has seen her in action many times before to already trust in this)
and the conversation that followed indicated to me an equal relationship despite wrio being the boss. he trusts her, she trusts him, but doesn't always approve of his methods and admonishes him for it, which made him take a step back and go yeah ok let me explain.
if he is the king, then she is his queen. if he is the head, then she is the neck that can turn the head anyway way she wants.
they have a lot of trust and respect for each other, something that has seemingly been built up over the years since wriothesley took office, but had it's seeds planted since he was a prisoner and her patient.
i'm sorry, i'm not the most articulate bc i would love to give a full proper analysis on that office confrontation scene and what it says about wriosige and why it made me fall in love with it in precise words, but this is the best i can explain it.

About the Natlan shipping - while Mauv/Xilo is funny, the closest person to Mavuika is Citlali and the person Xilonen frequently hangs out with is Mualani. Tall model obsession is unfortunately not only a yaoi thing. I think Natlan female characters are all overall very good friends anyway since they are a strong community. Mavuika's stories do highlight that Citlali understands Mavuika the best due to her shared experiences and often drink together.
yeah the tall model obsession definitely is a yuri thing too in this fandom and it makes them miss out on so much peak. i think the only times tall/medium is accepted is when the characters dont have other shipping options/all the other ones are taken. like eula/amber for example. sure they have the history of being childhood friends, but people are okay with shipping them bc the other two tall female models are already in the government assigned yuri ship (even tho eula may have a thing going on with jean)
mavui/citlali sounds so nice tbh but no one will give it a second thought bc tall/medium

Me before 4.7: I need Wrio to directly tell us that sige is older and probably looked after of him when he was younger so people would stop infantilizing her and making her his “daughter” , its literally in the text

FOR REAL LIKE how is sige gonna see a young teenage boy she would treat every now and then and lowkey watched over as he grew as a second father figure. and wrio pretty much proves he doesn't see sigewinne as some little girl needing to be looked after, let alone as his "daughter." like that's the nurse who took care of him when he was hurt and became his older colleague when he became boss of the place. he respects her seniority and her capabilities.
