indeed, the lunarians are my favourite group in the touhou universe. something about a place completely detached from earth that's hyperfocused on the concept of purity/impurity is so fascinating to me considering its military-focused society and the fact that it's shrouded in many narrative mysteries. in general touhou has influenced a lot of my works because of its unique approach to fantastical settings that i don't think many other media is capable of approaching. the twists on mythology and religion in the touhouverse has really opened up my eyes to the creativity that ZUN has in creating new plots and making new characters and it's something i want to emulate with what i make, too
