Do you have many residential gated communities where you live? What do you think of the concept/history of gated communities?

I can't remember seeing any since I've been based in New England, but it's not like I was looking for them...I think it's because it's generally whiter and wealthier and those communities are a product of places where the poors and minorities live reasonably close by and you can't have them just walking freely onto your propertah
