Thank you (and keres) for taking care of the recent t1/genshin plagiarism case.
I'd like to ask how did you exactly found the original fics. I was also really suspicious when I read the plagiarised stories but could not find the original stories, so it was not possible for me fill a report. I mean, I immediately recognised that the original story was from the genshin fandom because of some used terms, but since I do not play the game, I did not even know which character names were replaced....
Any tips how to find the original fics? I'd like to help with the reporting if something like this happens again in the future (hopefully not)

Oh man... this is awkward... but I'm not May LMAO. Idk I guess you thought I was may based on the screenshots I posted of our DMS, but I'm Z (XiaZia on Ao3 and twitter).

Uh, in terms of figuring out which fics were plagiarized and stuff, Keres google searched passages of the fic with quotations (used to search specific stuff), and it brought up matching results, and then they just compared the two.

I also hope this stuff doesn't happen in the future 😅 as a fic writer I can understand the amount of effort and time funnelled into fics, and it's disheartening to see people think it's okay to steal months of effort for themselves. If you want to tell a story it's always better to do it yourself, regardless of what quality you perceive the result to be. An original is a thousand times more precious than a copy.

Well, I mean I'm assuming this is asking me from the context that I'm saving someone emotionally close to me? Because if it was just 1 person vs. multiple people my answer would be the boat.

In the context that it is someone emotionally close to me, I would go with the boat anyway. I love my friends as my closest family but y'all I'm sorry I can't let a ship with dozens of people on it die in sacrifice for one person.

In the most ideal scenario, among the people on the ship, a lot of them can swim. Hopefully some of them can rescue the others while I rescue my friend, and then we can all idk fucking float until 911 boat edition comes to get us.

If we're talking like, be friends and chill and talk and have fun? Hell yeah, I open up pretty fast

If we're talking about like...traumas, past, fears etc, then it's gonna take a while. A large majority of my IRLs don't even know that about me.

Honestly, I would choose to keep either "stars in your eyes (I've never seen them before" or "little deaf boy". These are both fics that are very dear to me and that I had to take a lot of time to think out and outline and plot. Ty for the question anon :) very fun to think about
