Obviously it’s my opinion but I totally think it is ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I’m a huge ratiorine shipper. I’m not dunking on them at all lol, like I said in the exact tweet you’re complaining about. I love their dynamic in canon, too and think they’re very very strongly implied, obviously. To the point I think you’re blind if you don’t see it.
However, I still think that even tho canon text does make it clear Ratio cares about Aventurine for example, I think the whole scene of Mydei worrying for Phainon’s wellbeing is even MORE explicit in showing how much Mydei cares about Phainon, too.
I’d love it if we did but we didn’t get a whole scene of R/A loosing their minds with worry while the other took care of their side of the mission, it doesn’t mean they don’t care about each other obviously and if you read you’re clearly able to see they do. P/D got that very explicitly in both directions, so yeah I DO think their relationship and feelings for each other are being focused on even more than ratiorine’s were. Which is fine, I don’t think it discounts the ship at all or makes it lesser in any way, I just think they’re being even more explicit with outright stating and focusing on those feelings now.
I mentioned HSR’s writing too and that was part of the point as well. How the writing is getting more explicit with it. And that’s a good thing! I hope it means we eventually get more ratiorine content and it’s even MORE explicit than what phaidei’s writing is like currently. It’s not a competition at all, I want content for both and the more the better.

And I did not censor my tweets because I was speaking as a ratiorine shipper too and not disparaging either ship at all. If I think canon is being more textual with one over the other, it has nothing to do with my thoughts about the ship, I do not need canon to validate my ships and neither should you. In fact the tweet you’re complaining about was about NOT wanting ships to be canon. Lol. I’m a huge shipper of both and I disclaimed that in the tweet, if my perspective as a shipper of BOTH is enough to cause infighting then idk what to tell you at all… it really does not matter ultimately lol.

I’m gonna be honest OP, this is kind of a skill issue. If your yuri ships are boring you, you’re simply not trying hard enough. Fan fiction/art is about taking canon as a springboard and running wild with it. If your yuri isn’t toxic enough, no matter the fandom, then it’s kind of on you for letting canon limit you. There’s toxic yuri fanfic of my little pony characters, idk what to tell you. Have some genshin toxic yuri thoughts of my own, about Arlecchino too since that’s who you mentioned (tho ofc I have other ships).

Not toxic in the traditional (towards eachother) but Arlynette is definitely a toxic dynamic and not just because it’s parent/child or caretaker/dependent or even just a power dynamic. They’ve got so much corruption potential it’s insane.
Arlecchino’s already killed two men with her own hand by the time she takes in Lynette, barely around 10 years old and probably not even old enough to understand the seriousness of that.

Someone had to see her potential and teach her, take her pleasant and quiet nature and her intelligence and hone them into a weapon. Someone had to teach her where to cut, where to stab, so it’s quick and easy, and more importantly clean so that not even a drop dirties her pretty little hands (picture Arlecchino’s long black and thin bony fingers holding lynette’s smaller rounder and clearly younger fingers in her hands. Lynette’s pale skin in contrast to the black cursed skin of Arlecchino’s palm).

And just the same someone had to teach her where to lick, suck, nibble. Place cursed hands on her pale hips and guide her, teaching her how to rub herself against her Father’s thigh as a way to reward them both for a mission well executed. Teaching her more and more things until she learns also that such a quiet girl as herself is welcomed to scream and moan and gasp her throat raw, all thanks to the safety provided by those bloodstained hands gripping her hips and the comfort of her Father inside of her. She's for once safe enough to raise her voice.
