"Woman in the way of yaoi" isn't really a thing. Characters get hated for being in the middle of ships all the time. We really need to deconstruct why every other bad trope gets blamed on mlm or fujoshis but straight ships rarely get those labels attached to them despite having done it for longer.
Woman in the way of yaoi is very much a thing lmfao, the point is that people feel the need to shit on, dismiss or diminish a woman because people feel as though her presence is interrupting the relationship between two men, it’s not a “trope” but an instance of fandom misogyny, there’s plenty of other forms of misogyny attached to m/f ships that are discussed lmao
