i don't talk abt it often bc that's the extent of my distaste for the ship and most of their shippers but you are absolutely right. every top kudos'ed chscr fic has done irreperable damage to the way fandom perceives them both. i'm glad canon smithered any and all established dynamics they might've had lmao
