Which one you prefer, being honest & blunt but it might be painful or sugarcoating with white lies to make the others happy?

i prefer to be honest and blunt, i appreciate painful truth over white lies.

I'd choose to be blunt and honest because it saves time and potential misunderstandings from happening. In a nice way though.
