Inspired by Shannon I ask myself and you why the current pop music style is so boring, full of cover titles that are played in the current boring industrial style way and why creative people get so little attention. 'cause there is still music around that is entertaining, heartfelt, danceable, cheerful, uplifting, warm and moody.
But creative stuff isn't good for business. And only big businesses can afford to play at the top of the charts.
That being said, chart-topping pop music can also be those things you mentioned, even if it's a bit tough to digest for some people. Just don't ask why I almost never listen to pop.
