Some of them have millions of dollars, believe it or not. I watched an episode of Trafficked recently where reporter Mariana van Zeller interviews some scammers in Uganda. They're very good at what they do and have made a ton of money at it. Like you said, they have call centers, actors, etc.
Call centres can be hired for cheap and maybe they also scam those?
