embarassingly it was from tiktok. stuff kept getting on my feed like early 2022 and eventually my friend got in and i followed suit. i was a tsukasa (and saki) oshi initially, but rui was who first drew me in so i think i was cooked from the start.

i definitely listened to vocaloid before getting into sekai, meltdowns been a fav of mine since like 2018 or 19, also always loved kuragep. but i wasn't Nearly as active as i am now. just knew the basics and listened to some hits and like. the kind of things you'd expect a depressed 7th grader to listen to. i also tried dabbling in synthv in 2020-ish but that didn't get very far. after sekai i delved into stuff a lot more. fav producer now is harumaki gohan

for tsukuyomi i forget exactly how it came up but i branched off from the If self cover. kind of spiraled from there and a few album listens later i started to look into the story and. listened a Lot more. im in their top 100 listeners. then i wrote out my website tl doc because i kept having to explain why i was going crazy to people. point is i love them greatly now. although i have a very large preference for first story's music. anyway NEW ALBUM TODAY! listen to we call it the deity when it comes out for you ;)

funny id probably say the cupcake incident. like that's such a basic answer but oh my god why did he have so much to say about those cupcakes. and the music??? i was crying laughing the first time i heard that song what IS THAT. also one of the first thing he insults about the cupcake is the gaudy color?? mf your hair is the SAME COLOR? poor touya just wants to make something nice for his siblings and ends up putting his senior through the nine circles of hell. ten years of studying theater could not prepare kamishiro rui for those cupcakes.

for the second...hard deliberation happening in my head. well the two rui moments that have actually made me feel sick to my stomach reading are ch6 of curtain call and his amidst a dream side story p1 so its gotta be one of those. i have plenty of others that make me feel insane but those are like. This is painful to read. honestly both are also probably due in part to the way i read them lmao. curtain call i was reading before the event came out officially however late at night on sekai.best and seeing that "until now, we.......we" with zero context of his face or whatever startled the shit out of me, which sounds silly but hey thats just how my brain is. same with the "i know that, but....why is there this pain in my chest?". reading method aside, the whole chapter is an arrow through the heart. the long walk him, nene's words to him, the solemn attittude in sekai, and when you finally reach that "i still want to do shows with them" you feel like your heart is shattering into a million pieces. hrgh.

for amidst a dream i couldnt get a transcript so i found an upload of the card story and was holding my phone up trying to grab individual lines to shove in a translator lmao. and i remember i was like "oh what nice music in sekai. i like this guitar--emotions can be so--what the fuck did he just say?" and then i was frantically trying to get the rest because i felt like my brain was being flipped upside down as rui was spilling his feelings to meiko and luka. the whole build-up from curtain call to happy end with his want to stay together makes me feel like a sick animal. yeah sure, say you wish you wish you didn't have to feel your emotions because theyre so painful and confusing right now. ill be normal about it, i promise. also lukas words to him at the end are so sweet ugh.

i was gonna loophole you so i could talk about kamikou fes and how it originates my favorite rui line but i will talk about my actual favorite non-rui mixed. standing next to the kind and gentle you. i do not think it is a secret that i am a big honakana guy, and i had actually been wanting honakana wedding since i started the game so this event was like a dream come true to me, only exacerbated by the mizuki and emu appearances. i am a huge sucker for home-y domestic stuff so honakana is Very much up my alley. the event such a wonderful display of honami's kindness for those she loves, in the way that she wants to support kanade, and see her relax and smile. the way honami urges kanade to come with her, and the way she doesn't back down from wanting to help kanade, also shows her growing confidence and leadership which i think is nice :) the part where mizuki and honami are talking and they discuss how niigo has changed kanade for the better and how she smiles and eats more often....my heart. honami wants to care for kanade with all of her heart oufsdgh. emu's bridal play is awesome. who wouldve thought we'd get wedding vows on screen...."a bell that represents thankfulness and blessings...i couldnt be happier yoisaki-san is hearing this sound right now" is such a Line. after watching kanade run for her life to "save honami" and honami trying her best to make kanade relax throughout the day, that quote is such a arrow in the chest. it also leads me into talking about the final scene, where kanade gives honami her gift. that bell they rung, with the thankfulness and blessings? that quote resounds in your head as you watch kanade approach with the bouqet....honami brought so much love into kanade's life and even the most mundane things mean the world to her (stares into the camera. married couple.), their companionship is very special to her....and same to honami. also remember when i said i like domestic shit? kanades untrained was like an atomic bomb to me. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING BEFORE THIS EVENT EVEN CAME OUT I HAD THE @ ON MY PRIV FLOWERS[FOR]HONAKANA. BECAUSE OF KANADES 0.5 2*. AND NOW THEY THROW THIS AT ME. anyway. that card is lit so warmly as they cook dinner together, and it really reminds me of vday2, when after everyone has left kanades house, she feels that the kicthen seems a bit lonelier and cold. now with company (honami) here, the kitchen is warmer looking than ever as the two carefully prepare a meal for the two of them to share </3 the event shows the warmth of the relationship from both sides, showing that they both truly care for eachother and want nothing but happiness for the other...which i think is beautiful. guh.
