I’m curious how do you plan and outline your writings? It’s always been my biggest struggle and I usually end up planning it as I go or get stuck and get hardcore writers block 😭😭😭
Hi hi! I usually have a general idea of how I want the entire story to go before I write, so I put down all of the major story beats as headings in my document and then write from there! This does mean that if I want to change something halfway through, it's pretty hard to switch gears if it's a chaptered fic, which is why I usually upload one-shots! I can upload part of my WIP's outline for you to see too. When doing an outline, I start with the scenes I really want to write and then build the story around them so that I can get to them in a logical way. It's kind of like putting together a puzzle!
For some of my AUs, I also write out a character bible that includes what each character wants/needs, as well as their backstory, which can also help with the plot planning. I did this for "to go gentle into the dying of the light," "passerby," and "the immaculate catception."
