yeah! i think... it's complicated. i think there are probably times where he did enjoy it because he liked being pretty and he liked spending time with his sisters. but i also think that most times he probably didn't have much of a say in the matter, so if they wanted to dress him up and make him pretty they would just. do it. and in my mind i really see his mom as being super passive to that like "oh, well, your sisters just want to play with you" or "but you look so cute like this!" kind of stuff. so i can definitely see it being hard for him to accept the things he likes about it, especially as he gets older
