It's been a while since I've seen it, actually. I do enjoy the character itself. His transformation from a villain into an unlikely hero is a satisfying character arc, and I appreciate the film's willingness to subvert typical superhero tropes. It also shows how most “villains” are born from society’s own twisted, cruel nature. However I haven't seen the prequel show, so I can't say much about that
