how do you feel about ppl taking inspiration from your art and characters? i rlly like your style i think it’s so cute and i wanna use some aspects for my own art style but don’t wanna steal
I don't like people using "taking inspiration" and "stealing" interchangeably. they are completely and utterly different!
if we use this logic then artists who accidentally make a meme trend that everyone starts redrawing, could call everyone thieves, no? personal bias aside, it's always about being transformative in my opinion. there are artists who are very uneasy about this topic because they are possessive over their hard work. me personally, I learned to take it as flattery. as long as I can tell that you poured your heart into it and it wasn't done as a way to get quick clout, I'm fine with it.
