the unfortunate reality of sites shutting down or having an exodus is that there is never a consensus on what to replace it with.

and that's probably for the best, since if every site was expected to migrate users to a new platform when it died it would probably accelerate the monopolization of everything

my recommendation: either sign up for both, or pick the one whose UI you like the most.

sparkler isn't my thing... its really narrow and kind of cramped? idk if that's just my device though. i'll probably use cohost myself
