people in the zhongchi and tartali fandoms are big into wriolette and neuvithesley since the ships are pretty similar, is that why you’re scared? but i’m surprised you like one but not the other, especially considering how much hoyo baits wriolette
this feels like bait, but i'll answer in good faith anyway. i don’t know why you think it scares me, but yep, the majority of zc/ttl shippers tend to like all the big mlm ships, including wrlt! characterisation usually takes a backseat in the fandom these days, which is one reason i’m less involved in the zc community than i might be otherwise.
that said — i choose my ships based on the dynamic, lore, and how their personalities mesh, not gender or height. unless you’re only looking at the most basic surface level fanon, zc and wrlt are incredibly different ships. i was certain i’d love wrlt when fontaine came out, bc i did think they’d be french zc, but when they interacted i just didn’t feel any pull or closeness beyond simple friendship. meanwhile i don’t only ship nvfr romantically: i actually enjoy them just as much, if not more, in a queerplatonic relationship, because what they are to each other is too big to fit under just one label.
we’ll have to agree to disagree on the “hoyo baits wrlt” thing. it’s all a matter of personal opinion, but to me none of their interactions have had any kind of romantic potential — that’s WHY i don’t ship them (although to be fair, i don’t ship hkvh either, and i still can acknowledge that there IS an absurd amount of ship bait there). maybe there’s some — yaoi always sells — but a lot of the “bait” and “implications” nvfr shippers get harassed over really fall apart the minute you look at them without shipping goggles. that doesn't mean people can't enjoy it (having fun with crumbs is SO important in fandom!!!) but when it turns into harassment, that's crossing a line.
and hey, when you have a minute, google “tandem au coeur de fontaine” for me…
