Hii, i saw your tweet about bpd and i cried a lil :(
I'm on the other side of the thing, my bestfriend has it and she only discovered that years after we met. hardest friendship of my life, had to go through a lot of pain and i didn't understand why she would treat me like that after all the love and patience i gave her. However I decided to stay, because i love her to death, and i would never regret it. She actually went to theraphy and she's doing such an incredible job, and it helped me understand her better too. We had to forgive each other a lot, and talk for hours, and i had to distance myself for a while since it was too demaging for me at a certain point, but at the end of the day we were always there for each other when we needed and that could never change. I cannot say that she didn't hurt me, but I could always, and still can, see her own pain too, and when she finally started to also see mine that's when i knew that if we both worked harder to understand each other we could've made it, and that's what actually happened. We just cannot give up on each other even tho it is hard, and to this day we are doing soooo much better and we love each other a lot.

believe me, your best friend is so grateful to have you, and she is trying so hard. she appreciates you so much even when she isn’t showing it. i’m glad that you’re setting boundaries as well. i appreciate you. i’m glad she’s in therapy, too, that must help a lot. 💗 it’s awesome that you two are able to communicate with each other. don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you need advice, i am always glad to give it or to give empathy, compassion, understanding, venting, whatever you may need.
