To help with your mouth pain I would recommend something like kank-a. It’s really good for mouth sores and numbs the area on contact. Just make sure you only get it where the sores are because otherwise you’ll wind up numb in places you didn’t mean to be lol
i do have a mouth numbing gel which i use for smaller things but rn the inside of my mouth looks like an inverted joker smile, like huge ridges on each cheek. i would have to use a lot of numbing gel to numb all of it and then i wouldn't be able to tell if i was accidentally hurting myself more without realizing it. so i haven't used it for this :(
