I think there are far more reasonable people in fandom than not, but tensions run high sometimes. People can rub each other the wrong way, either through different interpretations of the story and characters, conflicting interests, and just personality clashes.

But that happens in any community, and definitely in any fandom.

Bsdtwt might be stressful sometimes for the people in it, and it may be hard to see past all of that at times, but overall it’s worth recognizing that the passion this fandom brings also generates as much creativity and theorizing as it does drama and conflict.
