...this question is evil. My kid would be an adult, and I'd be pretty unhappy with my friend and disappointed with my kids choices.

I used to have strong opinions against this sort of thing, but it's the infidelity I take issue with, not the fact a legal adult had an intimate relationship with someone much older than them.. I'm 31 and have been with a few ladies in their early 20's, I don't see a problem with it so long as no one involved is married or partnered up.

All I want is that you consider that you are responsible as an adult for the things you do and for the damage that might result. Dear married friend, I strongly suggest to discuss things with the involved third party as it is obvious it will explode sooner than later.

Fucking hell, I would like to think no child I raised would participate in this, all I can say for sure is we're not friends anymore - gotta let my kid have the agency to make mistakes, getting all dramatic and heavy-handed about it will almost certainly have a negative effect
